Paddy Holloway started riding when he was 5 years old but did not start competing until age 12. Paddy won the Virginia Championship Hare Scramble Series (VCHSS) 200c class when he was only 14 years old. Then Paddy went on to win the 200b championship the following year. In 2009 he was 16 years old and leading the VCHSS 200a class before breaking his femur at the last National Enduro round. After his injury Paddy put in a lot of hard work over the winter to make sure he would be better than ever for the upcoming 2010 season. All the hard work paid off and he won the 2010 National Enduro 200a class and at the same time clenched the 2010 National East Hare Scramble Series 200a class championship.
For 2011, his goal was to win the 250a National Enduro Championship and consistently being inside the top 15 overall, so you could imagine how frustrated Paddy was not being able to race the round 1 due to the flu. But Paddy took all that frustration into the next race in Forest Hill, Louisiana. There Paddy took home “A” overall winner, 250a winner and 13th overall. Paddy knew that he had the speed required to have a good year, he just needed to focus on consistency. Paddy went on to get a 2nd and 15th overall in TX, and a 3rd with a 13th overall in TN. Paddy wasn’t happy getting a 3rd so he made it a goal to get back on top. That goal was achieved with a win and 12th overall at the fifth round of the National Enduro. Paddy went on to three more wins, two seconds, and finishing inside the top 15 in every race but one (where he placed 16th overall). Paddy was able to achieve all his goals for 2011. 250a National champion, “A” overall winner and finishing in 11th overall!
Paddy’s plans for the 2012 season are to compete in the National Enduro series as a Pro rider and win overall at the Virginia
Championship Hare Scramble Series. Paddy understands the hard work and dedication it takes to compete at this high level, and he is 100% focused and determined to have another successful year.
